Somethings you might want to consider:
- Forget everything you know about other role-playing games – MHRP is conceptually different.
- Understand that intent is everything in this game. Decide what you want to try to do, not what the rules or your datafile says you are limited to doing. – You really want to visualize comic book action as opposed to meta-game the system.
- This is a narrative style game and not either miniature combat (like D&D, especially since WotC took over) nor a socialization simulation / improv acting experiment (like most LARPing is or much of WoD gaming.) You are playing with others to make a joint story, more so than any other game I can think of.
